I for one would be more than happy to share my story in the hopes it will help others and maybe educate others as to how HIV can strike anyone regardless of social status or sexual orientation. |

A person who is infected with HIV will likely not experience any symptoms right away. The virus needs time to enter the body and begin producing antibodies, which generally occurs six weeks to three months after the initial infection. |

AIDS, and the virus that causes it, HIV, kill an increasing number of people every year. Although the disease is no longer the hot button issue that it was in the 90s, it is still a very serious disease with no cure. |

Many people, after having just been diagnosed with HIV, automatically see a death sentence hanging in front of them. This may have been the case several decades ago when there was little research on the disease, however, that is no longer the case. |
